Deadline reports Tara Reid (Josie and the Pussycats<\/em>) and Johnny Pemberton (Fallout<\/em>) are attached to star in Scissor Mouth<\/em>, \u201ca contemporary Southern Gothic horror inspired by an ancient Japanese folktale\u201d from director Deborah Richards. Set in the early 1980s, the story follows \u201ca teenage girl who escapes years of captivity at the hands of her beauty-obsessed mother, leaving a bloody trail of \u2018makeovers\u2019 across rural West Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tap Twice<\/h2>\n

According to Deadline, Chelsea Tavares, Joel McKinnon Miller, Carson Fagerbakke, Augusta Liv, Gillian Nation, and Joe Massingill are attached to star in Tap Twice<\/em>, a \u201csupernatural horror film\u201d from director Andrew Bachelor in which \u201ca grieving couple retreats to an isolated estate where the walls record every word \u2014 and a presence learns to speak in their voices.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seasons<\/h2>\n

Deadline also has word Elizabeth McGovern is the latest to join the cast of Seasons<\/em>, the upcoming film adaptation of My Wife and I Bought a Ranch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

X-Men<\/h2>\n

During a recent interview with The Direct, Lana Condor revealed she\u2019s \u201ctalked\u201d to Marvel but has ultimately had \u201cno real conversations\u201d about returning to the X-Men<\/em> franchise as Jubilee.<\/p>\n

I would love nothing more than to come back as Jubilation Lee. The Troop<\/h2>\n

According to Deadline, Paramount Primal has acquired the film rights to The Troop<\/em>, the 2014 horror novel by Nick Cutter. Chris Basler has been hired to write the screenplay, following \u201ca troop of boys who, while on their annual scout camping trip, encounter an intruder who unleashes something far more terrifying than any campfire ghost story. As fear spreads, a brutal struggle for survival begins, turning the boys against the infected\u2026 and each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Nightmare on Elm Street<\/h2>\n

During a recent interview with Screen Rant (via Dread Central), Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma <\/em>director Jane Schoenbrun revealed they\u2019ve been \u201ctrying to get a meeting\u201d with either Warner Bros. or Paramount about directing one of the studios\u2019 competing A Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em> reboots.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Uprising<\/h2>\n

Fewer than 24 hours later, Paul Greengrass\u2019 The Uprising<\/em> has dropped \u201cThe Rise of Robin Hood<\/em>\u201d from its title. According to a press release from the film\u2019s UK distributor released to Metro, The Uprising<\/em> is a \u201chistorical epic about the Peasants\u2019 Revolt of 1381, not Robin Hood. Marketing materials posted by other countries that may appear in the UK online and on social media referencing Robin Hood are not issued or approved by us.\u201d<\/p>\n
