of communism and Poland&#8217;s transition to democracy &#8211; is now undergoing another transformation. Private developers are turning the site into new housing estates and business spaces.<br \/>\n    <\/h2>\n<div class=\"c-article-content c-article-content--culture js-article-content\">\n<p>Adriana Majdzi\u0144ska, an artist and professor at the Gda\u0144sk Academy of Fine Arts, runs an art atelier called WL4 at the shipyard together with her husband, sculptor and ceramicist Dr. Czes\u0142aw Podle\u015bny. She hopes this will help preserve the site&#8217;s cultural and historical legacy.
