Under the new agreement, funds managed by KKR have acquired a minority stake in BookMyShow, providing support for the live entertainment company\u2019s next phase of growth as it scales and deepens its offerings in India. Over the past few years, BookMyShow Live<\/strong>, the live entertainment experiential division of BookMyShow, has brought Lollapalooza India, U2\u2019s The Joshua Tree Tour, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Linkin\u2019 Park, John Mayer, Guns N\u2019 Roses, Post Malone, Def Leppard and Justin Bieber to the Indian market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Merlin & Jamen Capital Complete Curve Royalty Systems Acquisition<\/h2>\n

Jamen Capital <\/strong>and Merlin <\/strong>completed their acquisition of Curve Royalty Systems<\/strong>, which provides royalty processing services to the music business, from Virgin Music Group after the transaction received final approval from the European Commission. The deal was first announced in June.<\/p>\n
\n\tCurve\u2019s leadership, team, brand, products, services and clients remain the same following the deal.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cCompleting this transaction gives Curve the independence, stability and backing we need for the next stage of our development,\u201d said Richard Leach<\/strong>, CEO of Curve Royalty Systems, in a statement. \u201cFor our clients, it is very much business as usual: the same team, products, service and commitment to protecting their data and interests. \n\tThe sale of Curve was a condition of European regulators\u2019 approval of Virgin\u2019s acquisition of Downtown Music, Curve\u2019s previous owner. Regulators were concerned that by taking ownership of Curve, which processes royalties for many of Virgin parent company Universal Music Group\u2019s competitors, UMG would have unfair visibility into its rival companies\u2019 financial data.<\/p>\n
