singles seeds have been locked in.<\/p>\n<p>The US Open singles draws will be revealed on Thursday 27 August at 12pm local time, while main draw singles action at Flushing Meadows will begin on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The cutoff date for the women\u2019s seeds at the US Open was Monday 24 August as the WTA Rankings will not be updated again before play gets underway.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, results at this week\u2019s WTA 500 tournament in Monterrey will have no bearing on seeding positions for the season\u2019s final major.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/us-open\">US Open<\/a> women\u2019s singles draw includes 128 players \u2014 32 of which are seeded.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/aryna-sabalenka\">Aryna Sabalenka<\/a> will be the Add us as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=tennis365.com\" target=\"_blank\">a preferred source on Google to your favourites list<\/a> for tennis coverage you can trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is uncertainty over the fitness of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/elena-rybakina\">Elena Rybakina<\/a>, who is yet to practice at the US Open after she retired with an injury in her Cincinnati quarter-final last week.<\/p>\n<p>As things stand, Rybakina is set to play, and she will be the No 2 seed.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, who contested the Cincinnati Open final, will be seeded third and fourth respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Mirra Andreeva, Linda Noskova, Karolina Muchova and Iga Swiatek complete the top eight seeds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/alex-eala\">Alex Eala<\/a> is set to be seeded 17th, which will be the highest-ever Grand Slam seeding position for a player from the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>If Rybakina or another top 16 seed pulls out of the US Open before the draw on Thursday, Eala will move into the top 16.<\/p>\n<p>Seven American women will be seeded: Pegula, Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Iva Jovic, Madison Keys, Emma Navarro and Ann Li.<\/p>\n<h2>Projected 2026 US Open WTA seedings<\/h2>\n<p>1.
