\n\tSoundCloud announced that it will begin rolling out direct music purchases, now in beta, on the streaming platform direct from artist pages. Starting Wednesday (Aug. 26), around 200 Artist Pro creators will be able to sell songs directly from their profiles on SoundCloud, providing an additional source of revenue for artists.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cArtists should be able to build their audience in one place, on one platform,\u201d Eliah Seton<\/strong>, SoundCloud\u2019s CEO, said in a statement. \u201cSoundCloud has always been where artists find their first fans and build real communities. We\u2019re continuing to bring more of what they need to grow their careers into that same experience, while letting fans directly support the music they love.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \n\tCreators participating in the program will have the ability to set the price of eligible tracks for sale via Artist Studio and the platform\u2019s Fan Support Dashboard. Fans seeking purchase of the songs will be able to download the platform in either MP3 or WAV format. Artists will be able to keep 100% of each sale, excluding standard fees and taxes.<\/p>\n

    \n\tAccording to a press release, SoundCloud plans to receive feedback from the initial set of users in order to refine the offering ahead of a gradual expansion, with wider availability of the service expected to roll out in the fall.<\/p>\n

    \n\tIn October, SoundCloud announced that artists signed up to the Artist and Artist Pro plans would be able to keep 100% of their royalties when distributing songs via SoundCloud to other streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok and YouTube. Prior to the change, SoundCloud had taken a 20% cut. For streams on SoundCloud\u2019s platform, artists also receive 100% of royalties.<\/p>\n

    \n\tThe company also began a Fan Support program in October, which allows fans to donate from $1 to $1,000 in exchange for their names to be featured on the artist\u2019s page. In July 2025, SoundCloud partnered with elasticStage to offer print-on-demand vinyl for users. \u00a0<\/p>\n
