Nearly two dozen carnivalgoers were rescued after a 90 minute ordeal in central Hamburg<\/a>\u00a0late on Tuesday, having been stuck 25 meters (82 feet) in the air on a swing carousel ride.<\/p>\n

The Hamburger Dom carnival is held in the St.Pauli area of the\u00a0city three times a year, and is one of Germany’s longest-running and most well-visited fun fairs, attracting some 10 million guests annually.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday evening, 23 passengers become stuck partly\u00a0up the 70-meter (230-foot) ride when it malfunctioned and stopped moving.\u00a0<\/p>\n
