the US Open this year, such is her growing popularity on the WTA Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Filipina star has been selling out venues all summer, particularly at the Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Open on the North American hardcourt swing.<\/p>\n<p>Eala has also been a big hit at the Grand Slams this year, where there were lines of queues heading out of the stadium at the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Patrick McEnroe has urged the US Open to be logical when it comes to choosing which courts Eala plays on for the 2026 tournament.<\/p>\n<h2>More Alex Eala news<\/h2>\n<p><a semi-finals\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/Transcript:%20ESPN%202026%20US%20Open%20Preview%20with%20Mary%20Joe%20Fernandez%20and%20Patrick%20McEnroe%E2%80%AF%20-%20ESPN%20Press%20Room\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/patrick-mcenroe\">McEnroe<\/a> said: \u201cThe USTA better make sure they put her on big courts. In New York, I think the crowd is going to be wild for her. It\u2019s going to be a great story. Better make sure they don\u2019t put her on one of those side courts early in the tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a Grand Slam has come underfire for their scheduling decisions when it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/alex-eala\">Eala<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/australian-open\">Australian Open<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/lindsay-davenport\">Lindsay Davenport<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/martina-navratilova\">Martina Navratilova<\/a> were far from happy with the star being put on court six for her first round match with Alycia Parks.<\/p>\n<p>Davenport said: \u201cShe [Eala] probably needed to be on a bigger showcourt.
