Greg Rusedski has proclaimed that Alex Eala \u201cdoes something nobody else does\u201d as he discussed the Filipina star\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>Eala will partner Felix Auger-Aliassime in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/us-open\">US Open<\/a> mixed doubles event, which will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday during the tournament\u2019s \u2018Fan Week.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The duo will take on Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils in the opening round, and they could face Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic if they reach the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Main draw singles action at Flushing Meadows will get underway on Sunday, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/alex-eala\">Eala<\/a>\u00a0is currently set to be seeded 17th.<\/p>\n<p>World No 18 Eala holds a 8-2 record during the North American summer hard-court season so far.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the latest episode of his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BiXujJOcfmA&amp;t=4s\" target=\"_blank\">Off Court With Greg Rusedski<\/a> podcast, Rusedski lauded Eala\u2019s ability to take her return of serve so early.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEala \u2014 she takes the ball so early. She takes this return of serve so, so early.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I saw Rick Macci \u2014 who worked with Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Jennifer Capriati \u2014 said, if you can get that serve technically good enough, she\u2019s going to be number one, because she\u2019s going to be able to get those first three strikes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy point is between the ears for the people who are like 20 to one, and also a little bit of tools here and there. Like, look at a guy like [Alex] De Minaur, who maximises, lightning fast speeds, but the mentality is just second to none.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to do what he\u2019s doing week-in, week-out, because he\u2019s got to grind for every point, there\u2019s nothing cheap these days, even the men\u2019s and women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing very, very few cheap points these days, it\u2019s a lot of hard work, and to sustain that mentality is second to none.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at Rafa [Nadal], probably the best mentally if you saw his documentary with his injury.
