\n\tAppearing on the Today<\/em> show Monday (Aug. 24), Scott recalled attending Swift and Kelce\u2019s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where the couple exchanged vows in front of an estimated 1,000 guests. Despite the enormous venue and A-list guest list, Scott said the celebration felt more personal than its grandiose scale would suggest.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding,\u201d Scott said. \u201cYou had the sense that these are just people who love each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor added that although the event was vastly larger than his own wedding, the heart of the evening felt familiar.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAt its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together,\u201d he said, adding that \u201ceveryone teared up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tScott attended the wedding with his wife, Naomi Scott. The couple posed for photos with Paul Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger, ahead of the festivities, with Scott later sharing a snap of the two couples on Instagram captioned, \u201cT&T.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe wedding brought together a massive collection of Hollywood, music and sports stars, including Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Karlie Kloss.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut Scott\u2019s description of the wedding echoes comments from other attendees who have emphasized the personal nature of the celebration. Country star Brad Paisley, who attended with his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, previously described the wedding as one of the least pretentious celebrations he had ever attended. Meanwhile, Good Morning America<\/em> anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos also said the event was unexpectedly intimate despite taking place at one of New York\u2019s biggest venues.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor Scott, there was also a very personal consequence to scoring an invitation: earning \u2014 and potentially losing \u2014 some points with his teenager daughter, Frankie, who is a Swiftie.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Today<\/em> cohost Craig Melvin asked whether the invitation earned him \u201csome serious dad points,\u201d the actor admitted there was a catch.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSure did \u2014 except I didn\u2019t bring her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrankie apparently still got the full Swift-Kelce wedding debrief, though. Scott said she stayed awake waiting for her parents to return home so she could hear all about the celebration.<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift and Kelce\u2019s wedding took place July 3 at Madison Square Garden, with actor-comedian Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony. Swift\u2019s brother Austin served as her man of honor, while Kelce\u2019s brother, Jason, was his best man.<\/p>\n
