Photo: SGI Europe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\" style=\"margin: 8px auto;text-align: center;display: block;clear: both\">\n<!-- GAM 71161633\/SNWBR_snowbrains\/article_hrec_1 --><\/p>\n<div data-fuse=\"article_hrec_1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>Amer Sports, the parent company behind <a href=\"https:\/\/arcteryx.com\/\">Arc\u2019teryx<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/salomon.com\/\">Salomon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomic.com\/en\">Atomic<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peakperformance.com\/gb\">Peak Performance<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armadaskis.com\/en-us\">Armada<\/a>, reported 32% year-over-year revenue growth in the second quarter of 2026, reaching $1.63 billion. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the company\u2019s recent <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.amersports.com\/financial-news\/news-details\/2026\/Amer-Sports-Reports-Second-Quarter-2026-Financial-Results-Raises-Full-Year-Revenue-Margin-and-EPS-Guidance\/default.aspx\">financial press release<\/a>, Amer\u2019s strongest growth came from the \u201cOutdoor Performance\u201d division of the conglomerate, which grew 37%, led by ski giants Salomon and Atomic.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Amer Sports\u2019 Financial Performance Breakdown<\/h2>\n<p><b>Ski products drove the bulk of the revenue growth in 2026, but other divisions also saw significant growth.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cTechnical Apparel\u201d was up 32%, led by Arc\u2019teryx, while \u201cBall &amp; Racquet\u201d revenue rose 24%, with its brand Wilson Tennis 360 driving much of that growth. Meanwhile, the company said strong growth continued into the third quarter and raised its end-of-year revenue forecast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Management at Amer Sports highlighted Salomon softgoods \u2014 referring<span style=\"color: #000000\"> to items like apparel and footwear \u2014 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">as a p<\/span>articularly key growth engine<\/strong>. Salomon is most recognizable as a ski hardgoods brand \u2014 think skis, boots, and helmets \u2014 though softgoods are an increasingly core part of their product line.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/arcteryx-opens-southern-hemispheres-first-alpha-store-in-famous-qvb-in-sydney-australia\/\">Arc\u2019teryx Opens Southern Hemisphere\u2019s First Alpha Store in Famous QVB in Sydney, Australia<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Profit growth was even more robust than overall revenue growth.<\/strong> The company is reporting that adjusted operating profit increased 209% to $208 million, though a portion of this increase is attributable to a one-time tariff refund of $50.1 million. Amer Sports also raised its overall guidance, which refers to the company\u2019s own forecast or expectations for future financial performance. For Technical Apparel, it set new target guidance at revenue growth of 25\u201326% and an operating margin of approximately 22.5%. For outdoor performance, the company now expects revenue growth of 27% \u2013 28% and an operating margin of 16.0-16.5%. The company also expects an EPS (Earnings Per Share) of $1.27 \u2013 $1.30.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-15\" style=\"margin: 8px auto;text-align: center;display: block;clear: both\">\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Regionally, Asia-Pacific saw the strongest growth, at an astonishing 60.3%, while Greater China (not included in Asia-Pacific) came in second place at 35.5%<\/strong>. In absolute terms, Greater China contributed the lion share of the revenue growth, making up 36.8% or $145.8 million of the $396.3 million growth in sales. China\u2019s strong position in Amer\u2019s sales figures goes hand-in-hand with the explosion of indoor and outdoor ski areas in China. All segments, geographies, and channels achieved strong double-digit growth led by another exceptional quarter from Salomon Softgoods, a strong Arc\u2019teryx omni-comp, and a Wilson Tennis 360 acceleration. Given the broad-based momentum across our portfolio, the healthy and growing premium sports and outdoor market, and the world-class teams we have in place around the world, I am very confident in the future outlook for Amer Sports.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Amer Sports Stock Price<\/h2>\n<p><strong>So what do these robust numbers mean going forward for Amer Sports shareholders?\u00a0<\/strong>Not as much as you might expect, based on the strong growth. The current P\/E, or price-to-earnings ratio, suggests that Amer Sports is already priced in as a high-growth company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since its IPO in early 2024, Amer Sports (AS) share price is up about 141%. <\/strong>Year-over-year, however, the share price is down 12%. The market began pricing in strong growth starting in late 2024, when the company\u2019s stock price made a strong push. Their entrance into winter sports eventually came in the 90s with Atomic. In 2005, Amer Sports acquired Salomon, which owned Arc\u2019teryx, followed by several other ski brands. Meanwhile, Anta Sports, China\u2019s largest sportswear company, acquired Amer in a $5.2 billion deal in 2019.
