Lord, they dig more stones out of me a year than the rock quarry in Rockwood, Tennessee. But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past [couple of] years, and they\u2019re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those, and hopefully I\u2019ll be up to snuff again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0postponing them\u00a0last October,\u00a0Parton\u2019s sister Freida sparked fears when she posted on social media, asking fans to keep Dolly in their prayers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cLast night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up post,\u00a0Freida clarified her original statement, saying she \u201cdidn\u2019t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parton herself posted a video to reassure fans a few days later. \u201cI know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am,\u201d she said in a video from the set of a Grand Ole Opry commercial. \u201cDo I look sick to you?\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0working hard here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March,\u00a0she made her first public appearance in several months, delivering a keynote speech at Dollywood.\u00a0\u201cI just kind of got worn down and worn out, grieving over Carl and a lot of other little things going on,\u201d she added, noting\u00a0the loss of her husband Carl Dean, who she was married to for 58 years before his death last March.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just got myself kind of where I needed to build myself back up spiritually, emotionally, and physically.\u00a0But,\u00a0all is good. death last March, and has been open about how her grief has also impacted her physical health, saying she felt \u201cworn down and worn out\u201d earlier this year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad issues that I just didn\u2019t pay attention to when I was watching over Carl,\u201d she told <em>People<\/em> on Friday (August 21). \u201cIt\u2019s not like I haven\u2019t been through hard times with my health,\u201d she said, noting that in the early \u201980s she was \u201cdown for several months with female issues\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think because we live in a 24\/7 world with social media, everything gets magnified in ways it wasn\u2019t years ago. Lord, they dig more stones out of me a year than the rock quarry in Rockwood, Tennessee. But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past [couple of] years, and they\u2019re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those, and hopefully I\u2019ll be up to snuff again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0postponing them\u00a0last October,\u00a0Parton\u2019s sister Freida sparked fears when she posted on social media, asking fans to keep Dolly in their prayers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cLast night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up post,\u00a0Freida clarified her original statement, saying she \u201cdidn\u2019t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parton herself posted a video to reassure fans a few days later. \u201cI know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am,\u201d she said in a video from the set of a Grand Ole Opry commercial. \u201cDo I look sick to you?\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0working hard here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March,\u00a0she made her first public appearance in several months, delivering a keynote speech at Dollywood.\u00a0\u201cI just kind of got worn down and worn out, grieving over Carl and a lot of other little things going on,\u201d she added, noting\u00a0the loss of her husband Carl Dean, who she was married to for 58 years before his death last March.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just got myself kind of where I needed to build myself back up spiritually, emotionally, and physically.\u00a0But,\u00a0all is good.
