The film\u2019s timeline begins with Jackson\u2019s childhood and ends at the peak of his fame as an adult, during the \u2018Bad\u2019 world tour in the late \u201880s.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The film was originally meant to address the child abuse scandal that surrounded the singer in the later years of his life, however a clause in the settlement made with one of his accusers prevented them from being portrayed on film, leading to reshoots that cost a reported $15million (\u00a310.9million).<\/p>\n<p>In 1993, Evan Chandler, a dentist and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, accused Jackson of sexually abusing his 13-year-old son Jordan, which he denied. The case was concluded when the two parties reached a financial settlement in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, four years after Jackson\u2019s death, choreographer Wade Robson filed a lawsuit against his estate, saying Jackson had sexually abused him between the ages of seven and 14. It\u2019s someone else\u2019s idea of what it is, and it\u2019s mainly driven by an agenda. And that\u2019s really the issue we\u2019ve been having as a family \u2013 not having Michael\u2019s voice being heard. I think that\u2019s very, very important, especially in the late years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a shooting date for the sequel to <em>Michael<\/em> was scheduled, with production to begin later this The case was concluded when the two parties reached a financial settlement in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, four years after Jackson\u2019s death, choreographer Wade Robson filed a lawsuit against his estate, saying Jackson had sexually abused him between the ages of seven and 14. It\u2019s someone else\u2019s idea of what it is, and it\u2019s mainly driven by an agenda. And that\u2019s really the issue we\u2019ve been having as a family \u2013 not having Michael\u2019s voice being heard.
