\n\tQuality Control Music CEO Pierre \u201cP\u201d Thomas <\/strong>has been hospitalized following a medical emergency, the company revealed on Friday (Aug. 21), adding that he is still \u201calive\u201d and receiving medical care.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe want to clarify that Pierre \u2018P\u2019 Thomas is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,\u201d the company posted to social media on Friday. \u201cWe ask that everyone keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \n\tThe 45-year-old executive founded Quality Control Music alongside Kevin \u201cCoach K\u201d Lee<\/strong> in 2013 and helped guide the likes of Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty and City Girls to stardom.<\/p>\n

    \n\tIn 2022, Quality Control made a splash when signing Lee\u2019s nephew and New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara to the label\u2019s sports division, which launched in 2018. Cardi B also previously had a \u201cconsulting arrangement\u201d with the company.<\/p>\n

    \n\tThomas and Lee were honored with Billboard<\/em>\u2018s Executive of the Year Award in 2018 for building Quality Control into a hip-hop juggernaut. Thomas also won Billboard<\/em>\u2018s first-ever peer-voted R&B\/Hip-Hop Power Players\u2019 Choice Award in 2023.<\/p>\n

    \n\tIn 2023, South Korean music company HYBE acquired Thomas and Lee\u2019s Atlanta-based powerhouse label (QC Media Holdings) for $300 million ($250 million in cash and $50 million in stock).<\/p>\n

    Billboard<\/em> has reached out to QC\u2019s reps for further comment but had not heard back by press time.<\/p>\n
