the year\u2019s final Grand Slam.<\/p>\n<p>The combined 1000 event in Cincinnati is the last major stop on the ATP and WTA Tours before the North American summer hard-court swing reaches its crescendo at the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>The US Open is staged at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City, and this year\u2019s tournament will be the 146th edition.<\/p>\n<p>Main draw singles play will get underway on Sunday 30 August and conclude with the men\u2019s singles final on Sunday 13 September.<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka are the reigning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/us-open\">US Open<\/a> singles champions, with the duo having each claimed their second titles at the hard-court major last year.<\/p>\n<p>There were doubts over whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Alcaraz<\/a> would be able to defend his crown as the Spanish icon has not played since April due to a right wrist Bonzi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Doubts over big name ATP players<\/h2>\n<p>More ATP Tour stars could join the US Open withdrawal list as there are doubts over the fitness of a trio of high-profile players.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\">Jannik Sinner<\/a>, the world No 1 and a five-time Grand Slam champion, did not play at the Cincinnati Masters due to a knee injury.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jack-draper\">Jack Draper<\/a> played in Montreal and Cincinnati, but he continues to struggle with a bone bruising injury in his left arm that has hampered him for over a year.<\/p>\n<p>Holger Rune, meanwhile, has not played a match since rupturing his Achilles in October last year.<\/p>\n<p>As things stand, these three players
