Enduro is back! Less than 24 hours after we heard about the end of World Cup enduro racing, Crankworx announced its intention to host a new global enduro race series.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the UCI and Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a> announced the official pause of World Cup enduro racing. Other than World Championships later in 2027, enduro racing will no longer be a regular staple on the world\u2019s largest stage.<\/p>\n

In a post on its Instagram page<\/a>, Crankworx rushed to announce a new race series: \u201cEnduro is alive and well \ud83d\ude0f We\u2019re hyped to announce our plans to launch a brand new global race series next year with a calendar for all Enduro Athletes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The legendary brand already hosts the Crankworx World Tour<\/a> \u2014 gravity racing and slopestyle events taking place in iconic venues across the globe. Now, they look to add enduro racing to the portfolio.<\/p>\n

Crankworx shared<\/a> a bit more information about adding an enduro series on its website: \u201cReturning to its roots, the global series is to bring Enduro back to its core: Fun, adventure, participation for all and discovering the best trails in the world. The essence of Enduro is engrained Crankworx DNA is all about: access to all, community, and showcasing the world\u2019s best bike destinations. [sic]\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

With the announcement made just a few hours ago, Crankworx doesn\u2019t have venues lined up yet. However, they are promising that the \u201ciconic Canadian Open Enduro will be on the calendar.\u201d Founded in 2009, the venue for that race is, of course, Whistler, where Crankworx established its roots.<\/p>\n

Crankworx says to look out for more details and a race calendar soon. However, they also ask for \u201cdestinations interested in getting involved\u201d to reach out.
