This is a night you\u2019ll remember for the rest of your life,\u201d Cocker says at the beginning, as the intro to \u2018Common People\u2019 plays in the background. \u201cHow do you get to a moment like this? That\u2019s a long story\u2026 The Pulp story\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real live version of Pulp has been far more interesting than anything I could have imagined alone,\u201d he adds in the clip. \u201cSongs contain pockets of energy from your past life, which is released when you perform them again. It\u2019s real time travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As well as making the music videos for two of Pulp\u2019s songs, Jennings has also made visuals for Blur, Radiohead, Beck, R.E.M., Fatboy Slim and Vampire Weekend, as well as directing the 2005 sci-fi film <em>The Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide To The Galaxy<\/em>, and writing animated movies <em>Sing<\/em> and <em>Sing 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The film is produced by Octavia Peissel (<em>Asteroid City<\/em>), and edited by Barney Pilling (<em>The Grand Budapest Hotel<\/em>). \u2018Common People\u2019 as England fans celebrated the win against Norway at the World Cup \u2013 and also delivered a special orchestral gig to celebrate 50 years of Rough Trade at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall.<\/p>\n<p>They are set to play their \u201conly major UK headline concert\u201d at Manchester\u2019s Wythenshawe Park on August 28, before topping the bill at End Of The Road 2026 next month.<\/p>\n<p>Since releasing \u2018More\u2019 last year, Pulp have dropped new track \u2018Begging For Change\u2019 for the the star-studded \u2018Help(2)\u2019 charity album for War Child, accompanying live album that will capture the Sheffield band\u2019s two sold-out shows at The O2 in London last summer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Directed by Garth Jennings \u2013 who helmed the classic music videos for Pulp\u2019s \u2018Help The Aged\u2019 and \u2018A Little Soul\u2019 \u2013 the 90-minute movie features narration from the members, rare behind the scenes footage, and follows the band\u2019s \u201cextraordinary journey from obscurity to cultural touchstone\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, it was confirmed that global distributor MUBI would be previewing the movie for fans for one night only in UK and Irish cinemas on September 18. That\u2019s a long story\u2026 The Pulp story\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real live version of Pulp has been far more interesting than anything I could have imagined alone,\u201d he adds in the clip. \u201cSongs contain pockets of energy from your past life, which is released when you perform them again. It\u2019s real time travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As well as making the music videos for two of Pulp\u2019s songs, Jennings has also made visuals for Blur, Radiohead, Beck, R.E.M., Fatboy Slim and Vampire Weekend, as well as directing the 2005 sci-fi film <em>The Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide To The Galaxy<\/em>, and writing animated movies <em>Sing<\/em> and <em>Sing 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The film is produced by Octavia Peissel (<em>Asteroid City<\/em>), and edited by Barney Pilling (<em>The Grand Budapest Hotel<\/em>).
