Macci has told Tennis365 why he does not think any current ATP Tour players will reach the same level as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> and Jannik Sinner.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz and Sinner have been the two dominant forces in men\u2019s tennis since the start of 2024, with the pair having each secured five of the last 11 Grand Slam titles since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\">Novak Djokovic<\/a> won his 24th and most recent major at the 2023 US Open.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, Alcaraz and Sinner have triumphed at the Australian Open and Wimbledon respectively, while Alexander Zverev claimed his maiden Grand Slam at Roland Garros.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz has seven Grand Slam titles to his name, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\">Sinner<\/a> is a five-time major champion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/rafael-jodar\">Rafael Jodar<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/joao-fonseca\">Joao Fonseca<\/a> are two rising ATP Tour stars who have been identified as potential long-term challengers to Alcaraz and Sinner.<\/p>\n<h2>ATP Add us as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=tennis365.com\" target=\"_blank\">a preferred source on Google to your favourites list<\/a> for tennis coverage you can trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive interview, Tennis365 asked Macci if he feels Fonseca and Jodar will compete with Alcaraz and Sinner in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The American suggested that the duo can reach the top five, but went on to break down why he believes Sinner and Alcaraz will remain a cut above the competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFonseca can definitely be in the mix,\u201d said Macci. \u201cA lot of those guys are going to go into the top five because they\u2019re so young.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, the way Sinner plays \u2013 he has firepower off both sides, and he can produce quality off of quality. He\u2019s hitting the ball 80 miles an hour eight times in a row, and holding the baseline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd his mind\u2019s made of granite \u2014 that\u2019s why he\u2019s number one on the planet! He has the most important thing, he doesn\u2019t have all the motor skills like Carlos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlcaraz, he checks every box. The only time he gets in trouble is when he has too many options. But what a good situation\u2026 his toughest opponent, a lot of times, is in the mirror.
