\n\tWalkom was instrumental in BMG\u2019s acquisition of Andrew Stockdale\u2019s publishing and recorded music royalties and neighboring rights for Wolfmother, announced earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining Walkom is lawyer Lauren Holyoak<\/strong>, also a performing musician and self-managed artist.<\/p>\n\n\tAlthough headquartered in Queensland, Walkom boasts networks across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and APAC, its vision to supports rightsholders, talent, and creative enterprises at every level.<\/p>\n
\n\tArtist representation and rights negotiations are front and center for Walkom Entertainment Lawyers\u2019 activities, and the firm will be active in advising record labels, distributors, music publishers, management companies, promoters, festivals and digitally native creators on broader commercial and corporate matters, emerging AI frameworks, IP monetisation and rights protection, and strategic industry issues.<\/p>\n

\n\tWalkom starts his own business following the closure in July of Media Arts Lawyers, a business he joined in 2021, before opening its Brisbane branch the following year.<\/p>\n
\n\tSeparately, he founded and runs We Are Golden, a management company and record label with a focus on nurturing and developing emerging talent, and he serves on the board of the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) and the Gold Coast Music Alliance (GCMA). Last year, Walkom was identified in Billboard\u2019s 2025 Top Music Lawyers list. <\/p>\n
