the ATP and WTA Tours battling it out on the North American hardcourt swing, all roads are now leading to the final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>The Cincinnati Open is currently underway with several of the top stars in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s game looking to peak at the right time for the Flushing Meadows event.<\/p>\n<p>Some top stars, however, will not be appearing in New York for the final major of the year, as nine players have already pulled out of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Eight of those have come on the WTA Tour, led by the likes of Emma Raducanu, Hailey Baptiste, and Victoria Mboko, who will not be playing the tournament.<\/p>\n<h2>More tennis news<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/jannik-sinner-injury-out-us-open-rumours-swirling\">Jannik Sinner out of the US Open? Rumours are swirling as final decision looms<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/novak-djokovic-protected-cincinnati-open-greg-rusedski\">Greg Rusedski says Novak Djokovic \u2018has to be protected\u2019 after what happened at Cincinnati Open<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Victoria-Mboko\">Mboko<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/hailey-baptiste\">Baptiste<\/a> both suffered serious knee injuries earlier this year, so there was little doubt about whether they would play the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/us-open\">US Open<\/a>, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/emma-raducanu\">Raducanu<\/a> has also been ruled out with injury.<\/p>\n<p>The star\u2019s stress fracture, which kept her out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/wimbledon\">Wimbledon<\/a>, is serious enough to rule her out of the entirety of the North American hardcourt swing.<\/p>\n<p>She is joined out of the Grand Slam by Ajla Tomljanovic, Varvara Gracheva, Irina-Camelia Begu, and most recently Jacqueline Cristian and Laura Siegemund.<\/p>\n<h2>WTA Tour star\u2019s who have withdrawn from the US Open<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Victoria Mboko<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(world No 12) &gt; replaced by <strong>Mananchaya Sawangkaew <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hailey Baptiste<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(world No 32) &gt; replaced by <strong>Kaitlin Quevedo<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Emma Raducanu<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(world No 49) &gt; replaced by <strong>Anna Blinkova\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ajla Tomljanovic<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(world No 95) &gt; replaced by <strong>Ella Seidel<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Varvara Gracheva<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(world No 102) &gt; replaced by <strong>Anastasia Zakharova<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Irina-Camelia Begu<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(world No 472) &gt; replaced by <strong>Elsa Jacquemot<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jaqueline Cristian<\/strong> (world No 41) &gt; replaced by <strong>Darja Vidmanova\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Laura Siegemund<\/strong> (world No 89) &gt; replaced by <strong>Nadia Podoroska<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/ATP-Tour\">ATP Tour<\/a> side of things is far more populated as things stand, with only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/sebastian-korda\">Sebastian Korda<\/a> confirmed to be missing the final Grand Slam of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The American has not played since the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/miami-open\">Miami Open<\/a> and he confirmed at the beginning of August that he has undergone back surgery for the injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been 4 months off-court managing pain in my back with a lot of pressure on my sciatica. After different treatments we decided to have a swift surgery that has finally relieved the pain. See ya\u2019ll soon!\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>ATP Tour star\u2019s who have withdrawn from the US Open<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sebastian Korda<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(world No 50) &gt; replaced by <strong>Aleksandar Vukic<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although Korda is the only men\u2019s player to confirm his early exit from the US Open, there are whispers that there could be more coming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> are still doubts, with the former in a race against time to recover from the wrist injury that has kept him out for five months.<\/p>\n<p>Sinner, meanwhile, is dealing with a knee injury and has not played a single tournament in North America ahead of the Grand Slam.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Holger-Rune\">Holger Rune<\/a> could also miss the event as he tries to return to tennis after an ACL injury suffered at the Stockholm Open in October last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Dane has, as yet, refused to withdraw from the US Open, however.<\/p>\n<p>I see conclusions on me withdrawing from US Open,\u201d he wrote recently on social media. \u201cI did not withdraw. I am working super hard everyday and as soon as I am ready, I am ready.
