The news comes as Uber\u2019s delivery rivals begin to step up their own drone deliveries, thanks to easing government regulations that allow companies to fly farther and cheaper.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"duet--article--article-body-component\">\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The Uber Eats deliveries will start in Zipline\u2019s existing market of Dallas-Fort Worth, before eventually expanding to dozens of additional cities. Zipline, which has made two million deliveries so far, also operates overseas, including Rwanda, Ghana, Japan, Nigeria, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, and Kenya. The company first started operations in Rwanda in 2016, delivering medical supplies in minutes to remote locations. Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/science\/970731\/doordash-air-drone-delivery-faa\">DoorDash launched its own drone delivery program called DoorDash Air<\/a>, after receiving approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"duet--article--article-body-component\">\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Thanks to a 2025 order from President Donald Trump, the FAA has proposed new rules to expand the deployment of drone delivery operations.
