However, that all changed on Saturday night (August 15) when three of the band members came together for the first time in decades.<\/p>\n<p>At the annual Scottish festival for indie music, Glas-Goes Pop, the band\u2019s original drummer Gary Ainge, bassist Marco Thomas and guitarist Philip King came together and performed live under the band name \u2018Feel\u2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DaZoM9lAvbZ\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>View this post on Instagram<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>They had announced the plans last month, taking to Instagram and confirming that they would be instrumental versions of Felt songs under the new name, which is \u201cthe present tense of Felt\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFeel is a new group made up of original Felt members Gary Ainge (who played drums on all ten albums), Marco Thomas on bass and Philip King on rhythm guitar,\u201d they wrote at the time. \u201cAlong with Martin Davies on keys and Andy Wellings on lead guitar, they will be honouring the beauty of Felt\u2019s music \u2013 by playing instrumental Felt songs \u2013 and Felt songs instrumentally.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Their caption continued: \u201cAs it says so accurately on the Felt album sleeves \u2013 the songs were \u2018coloured in by the band\u2019 \u2013 and that\u2019s what they intend to do. td-fix-index\">\n<p>Members of the jangle pop band Felt have come together for the first time in nearly four decades, and performed under the name \u2018Feel\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The British band formed at the end of the \u201870s, and dropped 10 albums across the \u201880s, from 1982\u2019s debut record \u2018Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty\u2019 through to 1989\u2019s \u2018Me and a Monkey on the Moon\u2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For over three decades now, they have not been seen together as part of the group nor played any shows \u2013 holding their last show in Birmingham in December 1989.
