Open partnership.<\/p>\n<p>WTA world No 1 Sabalenka will join forces with 24-time Grand Slam champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\">Djokovic<\/a> in the mixed doubles event at the 2026 US Open.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with the 2025 edition, the mixed doubles tournament at the US Open was reimagined to include a host of singles stars.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 US Open mixed doubles event will be staged between Monday 24 August and Wednesday 26 August, before main draw singles action begins on Sunday 30 August.<\/p>\n<p>In her on-court interview after her second round win at the Cincinnati Open, Sabalenka was asked if she could confirm that she will team up with Djokovic at Flushing Meadows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, you know, he was begging me to play with him, and I said \u2018you know what\u2026 of, course legend, I\u2019ll help you out. And let\u2019s try to have fun and go for the title\u2019,\u201d said the four-time major winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I guess it\u2019s true. We are playing. It\u2019s gonna be so much fun. And I\u2019m pretty excited. I think it\u2019s going be fun,\u201d the Belarusian said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd playing with Novak is always fun. And mixed doubles, I played it once in my life, I mean, on the Grand Slams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we are going full. You know, we\u2019re chasing the only title. That\u2019s our goal, I believe.
