The stadium also has a team of fire safety experts on site for every event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0government\u00a0alert was\u00a0a\u00a0safety\u00a0guidance\u00a0message,\u00a0and while it\u00a0has introduced\u00a0a temporary ban on the sale of disposable barbecues, it has not done the same for fireworks.<\/p>\n<p>The same alert caused a surreal moment at Boomtown Festival, where thousands of phones throughout the campsite emitted the siren at the same time. id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It came just hours after the UK government sent out an emergency alert to\u00a0phones\u00a0across England and Wales to give a \u201csevere\u201d warning about the risk of wildfires across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cResidents, landowners and visitors should not undertake any activity that could start a fire, including disposable barbecues, firepits, garden incinerators or fireworks,\u201d the message read. \u201cEven a small flame can rapidly develop into a major wildfire placing lives, homes, businesses and emergency responders at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fact that the fireworks went ahead prompted criticism from some online, with one person writing: \u201cClearly\u00a0organisers\u00a0at @wembleystadium didn\u2019t get representative\u00a0told\u00a0<i>LADBible<\/i>\u00a0that venue officials had held a meeting with\u00a0on-site members of the\u00a0Metropolitan Police and\u00a0London\u00a0Fire Brigade after the alert was received.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cLast night\u2019s\u00a0firework\u00a0and pyrotechnic display was a controlled performance, delivered within the Wembley Stadium footprint and subject to the stadium\u2019s established safety procedures,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll pyrotechnics at Wembley are designed, operated and managed by specialist professionals in accordance with the stadium\u2019s pyrotechnics policy. The stadium also has a team of fire safety experts on site for every event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0government\u00a0alert was\u00a0a\u00a0safety\u00a0guidance\u00a0message,\u00a0and while it\u00a0has introduced\u00a0a temporary ban on the sale of disposable barbecues, it has not done the same for fireworks.<\/p>\n<p>The same alert caused a surreal moment at Boomtown Festival, where thousands of phones throughout the campsite emitted the siren at the same time.
