You always kind of skate to ABBA or something. Like, I didn\u2019t live through a time where I didn\u2019t find out about something on the internet. Even cool pop-up shows and stuff, it was all kind of phone-based.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I just liked the idea of plastering a small town [with posters]. It was so fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the Q&amp;A, Bridgers shared a rough cut of a video, \u2018I Can\u2019t Wait\u2019, which was nearly done, but would later have drone footage from the skating event added to it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As for other events in the pipeline for Bridgers, she recently announced some intimate phone-free shows in the UK to mark the release of the new album. After those shows next week, she\u2019ll then head out on\u00a0\u2018The Lost Tour\u2019, kicking off in North America next month before heading to the UK and Europe in November and December.<\/p>\n<p>The UK and Ireland dates include shows at Dublin\u2019s 3Arena, Manchester\u2019s Co-op Live and London\u2019s The O2.\u00a0Find any remaining tickets here\u00a0(UK and Ireland) evasion: more a reckoning with herself and the romantic and familial love and loss that have shaped her story and storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a feat that could only be achieved by a songwriter and musician self-assured in their penmanship and musicality, someone who may have started the journey of writing her third album feeling lost, but by the end wasn\u2019t unmoored at singer-songwriter\u2019s third studio album arrived on Friday (August 14), and before then, she spent time with fans at a listening party held at the Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale on Tuesday night (August 11), in what was a triumphant outing not just for her latest release, but also her skating skills.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As one fan wrote on Reddit after the event: \u201cShe was skating right with everyone, and if you could match her speed then you could say hello, but she is FAST so it may have been a bit difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her speed seemed slightly incongruous to the sound of the 16-track offering, which <em>NME<\/em> described as \u2018candid [and] gut-punching\u201d, and Bridgers herself did acknowledge there was a \u201cweird\u201d juxtaposition there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had this idea forever\u201d she said to the crowd of about 200 sitting on the rink\u2019s floor for a Q&amp;A, per <em>Variety<\/em>. \u201cI always thought it would be cool to do like a Grouper Moonlight night. You always kind of skate to ABBA or something. Like, I didn\u2019t live through a time where I didn\u2019t find out about something on the internet. Even cool pop-up shows and stuff, it was all kind of phone-based.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I just liked the idea of plastering a small town [with posters]. It was so fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the Q&amp;A, Bridgers shared a rough cut of a video, \u2018I Can\u2019t Wait\u2019, which was nearly done, but would later have drone footage from the skating event added to it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As for other events in the pipeline for Bridgers, she recently announced some intimate phone-free shows in the UK to mark the release of the new album.
