\n\tLosing a child in a jam-packed music festival will strike fear in any parent, and director Jeremy Garelick brings that fear to life with the movie Rolling Loud<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival, the upcoming comedy released a trailer for the flick on Thursday (Aug. 13) starring Travis Scott, Owen Wilson, Sexyy Red, Matt Rife, Christine Ko, Ski Mask the Slump God, Ty Dolla $ign and more.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tOwen Wilson Recalls Hitting the Stage With Travis Scott During Rolling Loud Miami: \u2018I\u2019m Not a\u00a0Dancer\u2019\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tThe festival-themed movie, helmed by Rolling Loud and Live Nation, is set to hit U.S. theaters on Oct. 2. The trailer kicks off with Wilson\u2019s 13-year-old son, played by Christian Convery, pleading with Wilson to take him to Rolling Loud.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an attempt to play the \u201ccool dad,\u201d the Wedding Crashers<\/em> actor gives in, and the chaos begins when Wilson loses his son in a sea of 60,000 sweaty rap fans on a bathroom trip at the Miami festival. All hell breaks loose in the search party, and Wilson ends up backstage explaining the situation to Sexyy Red and La Flame.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmid the panic, Wilson ends up onstage during Scott\u2019s headlining set (this scene was taped during Scott\u2019s set at Rolling Loud Miami in December 2024) while he\u2019s performing his rambunctious \u201cFE!N\u201d anthem.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re the guy on the big screen that all the security\u2019s looking for,\u201d Sexyy says. \u201cYou jumped off a Ferris wheel, right?\u201d To which Wilson clarifies, \u201cNo, I threw someone off a Ferris wheel.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGarelick\u2019s idea for the film was loosely based on true events when he briefly lost track of his son at a Rolling Loud festival in the past.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe fact that we had this experience together, it bonded us and it really brought us together,\u201d the film\u2019s director told People<\/em>. \u201cIt gave us those inside jokes, those secrets that we can\u2019t tell anybody. And then to put it into a movie that\u2019s coming out all over the world, it\u2019s just incredible. I think parents should take their kids and enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRolling Loud\u2019s only 2026 U.S. festival took place in Orlando in May, which was headlined by Don Toliver, Ken Carson and Playboi Carti.<\/p>\n
