Its lidar and camera-based navigation performed nearly as well as the Segway in my backyard, only getting stuck a couple of times. It doesn\u2019t need a clear view of the sky, so you can place it anywhere, and its sliding edge-cutting deck worked slightly better than the Segway\u2019s EdgeSense feature in my testing. It can also be used for manual remote-control mowing and has a built-in edge-cutting feature, although there\u2019s the option of an edge-cutting add-on module, which I haven\u2019t tried.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"duet--article--article-body-component\">\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Edge cutting is still very much a work in progress for all mowers. Some do well straddling the edge, but if you have a fence or delicate boundary, that won\u2019t work. Companies are trying all sorts of solutions \u2014 including special attachments. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8836598\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.ecovacs.com\/us\/shop\/goat-robotic-lawn-mower\/goat-a3000-lidar-pro\" rel=\"sponsored\">Ecovacs Goat A3000 Pro Lidar<\/a> looks to be the most promising, thanks to a side-mounted string trimmer.
