Ahead of the event going ahead, Mani\u2018s family cleared up a \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d over the recent tribute gig to the late musician, saying this \u201chas now been resolved\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cast,\u00a0Peter Hook and The Kowloons all lined up to appear, along with a specially assembled band featuring musicians closely connected to Mani featuring Stone Roses\u00a0guitarist Aziz Ibrahim, ex-Happy Mondays\u00a0member\u00a0Rowetta,\u00a0The Zutons\u2018 Dave McCabe,\u00a0Mantra Of The Cosmos\u2018 Zak Starkey,\u00a0Reverend And The Makers\u2018 Jon McClure, and many more. The appetite for Manichester was enormous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news has led to the family and friends of Mani issuing a lengthy statement, shared by former Primal Scream bassist Simone Marie Butler, hitting out at the reports.<\/p>\n<p>It read: \u201cIt has been less than nine months since we lost Mani. As a family, we are still grieving this monumental loss and his sons are doing their best to navigate life without their Dad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecently it has come to our attention that multiple individuals, promoters and organisers are increasingly using Mani\u2019s name, memory, and legacy to advertise events. family of late Stone Roses and\u00a0Primal Scream bassist Gary \u201cMani\u201d Mounfield have hit out over plans to stage further concerts in his name without their after reports emerged yesterday (August 11), that promoters and organisers in Manchester are seeking to hold future events following the tribute concert in his hometown earlier this year at the Diecast. Ahead of the event going ahead, Mani\u2018s family cleared up a \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d over the recent tribute gig to the late musician, saying this \u201chas now been resolved\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cast,\u00a0Peter Hook and The Kowloons all lined up to appear, along with a specially assembled band featuring musicians closely connected to Mani featuring Stone Roses\u00a0guitarist Aziz Ibrahim, ex-Happy Mondays\u00a0member\u00a0Rowetta,\u00a0The Zutons\u2018 Dave McCabe,\u00a0Mantra Of The Cosmos\u2018 Zak Starkey,\u00a0Reverend And The Makers\u2018 Jon McClure, and many more. The appetite for Manichester was enormous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news has led to the family and friends of Mani issuing a lengthy statement, shared by former Primal Scream bassist Simone Marie Butler, hitting out at the reports.<\/p>\n<p>It read: \u201cIt has been less than nine months since we lost Mani. As a family, we are still grieving this monumental loss and his sons are doing their best to navigate life without their Dad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecently it has come to our attention that multiple individuals, promoters and organisers are increasingly using Mani\u2019s name, memory, and legacy to advertise events.
