\n\tAfter host Jimmy Fallon made his way through some of the typically wacky alleged audience suggestions \u2014\u00a0mashing up Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/em> voiced by the stars of Minions and Monsters<\/em> and a failed attempt at throwing axes at announcer Steve Higgins \u2014\u00a0he cued up the final bit that blew Langley\u2019s mind. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHey Jimmy, I love that song \u2018Choosin\u2019 Texas by Ella Langley and I\u2019m really excited to see Matthew McConaughey\u2019s new movie, The Rivals of Amziah King<\/em>, where he performs in a bluegrass band,\u201d a viewer wrote in. \u201cIf there was only a way to combine those things that would be a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe curtain then parted to reveal McConaughey playing mandolin alongside indie folk trio the Last Bison, with Fallon, strumming a washboard, slipping into matching brown vest and pants to play the upbeat country anthem. \u201cJust when I thought I got him to fall in love with Tennessee\/ Shoulda known better than to take him to Abiliene,\u201d Uvalde, Texas native McConaughey drawled. <\/p>\n

\n\tFallon and the rest of the band joined in on the \u201cshe\u2019s from Texas I can tell\u201d chorus and, frankly, the whole thing just made Langley lose her mind. \u201cI may never recover from this,\u201d the singer wrote on an Instagram story in which she reposted the clip. The timing couldn\u2019t have been better for Langley, who is slated to play in McConaughey\u2019s hometown of Austin, Texas at the Moody Center on Thursday night (Aug. 13). <\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor is gearing up for the release of his first film role in more than seven years with The Rivals of Amziah King<\/em>, which is due out on Friday (Aug. 14). The heart-stirring drama that takes place in the \u201cdeep backwoods\u201d of rural Oklahoma is described as following \u201cthe charismatic and musically gifted\u201d Amziah (McConaughey), the leader of a \u201cbluegrass-playing band of misfits while overseeing the premier honey-making operation in town.\u201d McConaughey\u2019s titular King is a honey farmer\/bluegrass picker who is in a pitched battle against attacks on his family and business.<\/p>\n
