Although it only peaked at No. 69 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, the collection paved the way for Cook\u2019s future commercial successes, and high-profile festival and headline spots around the globe.<\/p>\n \n\tNext up, Fatboy Slim\u2019s You\u2019ve Come A Long Way Baby<\/em> dropped in 1998 and spent four weeks at No. 1 in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cBetter Living Through Chemistry <\/em>was basically me figuring out what I was doing,\u201d comments Cook in a statement. \u201cI was making music for the dancefloor, the bedroom, the afterparty and anyone who\u2019d listen. Looking back, it\u2019s got all the mistakes, experiments and madness of that time in it, but that\u2019s probably what I love about it most.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe project was inspired by Cook\u2019s Big Beat Boutique club nights at Brighton\u2019s Concorde, and its floppy disc-inspired cover art was both a nod to New Order\u2019s \u201cBlue Monday\u201d 12-inch sleeve, and to technology\u2019s evolution and its connection to the hip of electronic music.<\/p>\n \n\tCook is a man of many music hats. By the time he introduced Fatboy Slim to the music world, he was established through his work with The Housemartins and Beats International, along with Freak Power, Pizzaman and Mighty Dub Katz.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt was the beginning of the Fatboy Slim adventure, and I\u2019m amazed that, all these years later, people are still discovering it, dancing to it and asking me about it,\u201d Cook comments. \u201cIt feels pretty bloody good to give it another lease of life.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPre-save Better Living Through Chemistry<\/em> here.<\/p>\n\n
