There\u2019s nothing in the diary, but you can\u2019t read anything into that. There\u2019s never anything in the diary,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cWe all finished the last tour thinking \u2018well, that worked pretty well. We\u2019re all making music still, so we\u2019re all developing as musicians. It\u2019s really interesting to get back together again and see how our musicality has changed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blur dropped their latest studio album, \u2018The Ballad Of Darren\u2019 in 2023, and it came following reunions in 2009 and 2015. In the time since their last shows wrapped up, other members have spoken about the chance of a reunion too.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of 2025, bassist Alex James spoke to <em>NME<\/em> about his \u2018Britpop Classical\u2019 tour, \u2013 which saw him cover the likes of Pulp and former rivals Oasis with a full orchestra \u2013 and discussed whether it made him want to tour again with the band.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cDo you know what? That last tour was the first time where there was no fucking downside,\u201d he shared. \u201cWith the warm-ups and playing the new album at Hammersmith, there were less than 20 shows. Even when we split up, it was only for eight years. It reminded me of how much I love being on tour. It reminded me that playing the bass is the one thing I\u2019ve ever done proficiently well in my entire life. With everything else, I\u2019m blagging it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Before then, Graham Coxon spoke to <em>NME<\/em> about Blur\u2018s <em>Live At Wembley Stadium<\/em> concert film, and said that the band don\u2019t want to \u201cleave it too long because we\u2019re knocking on\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreatively, we\u2019ll always be able to do something, but it\u2019s important that we live life for a bit and hopefully not go through something so traumatic before getting back together again,\u201d he said in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamon [Albarn, frontman] always said too that we need to live life so we have something we can bring together if we\u2019re ever going to do anything again. If that all happens, then there shouldn\u2019t be any reason why not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rowntree shared a similar stance when speaking to <em>NME<\/em> in 2025, sharing: \u201cThere\u2019s going to come a time when we\u2019re too old to do it, but we\u2019ll have probably decided to throw the towel in before then anyway. Nobody wants to go on past our sell-by-date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Alex James also doubled down on his willingness to reunite, but quipped that they \u201cneed to let Oasis get their stuff out of the way\u201d first.<\/p>\n<p>In the time since their last shows, members of Blur have been busy with their own respective projects. greatness<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The drummer opened up about the chances of Blur getting back together to hit the road and make more music together during a recent interview with <em>The Sun<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the discussion, he looked back at their 2024 set at Coachella \u2013 their final show before taking an extended break \u2013 and said that, while they seemed less than impressed with the crowd response, they walked away from it with an unspoken feeling of wanting to return to the live stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019ll be something else. There\u2019s nothing in the diary, but you can\u2019t read anything into that. There\u2019s never anything in the diary,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cWe all finished the last tour thinking \u2018well, that worked pretty well. We\u2019re all making music still, so we\u2019re all developing as musicians. It\u2019s really interesting to get back together again and see how our musicality has changed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blur dropped their latest studio album, \u2018The Ballad Of Darren\u2019 in 2023, and it came following reunions in 2009 and 2015. In the time since their last shows wrapped up, other members have spoken about the chance of a reunion too.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of 2025, bassist Alex James spoke to <em>NME<\/em> about his \u2018Britpop Classical\u2019 tour, \u2013 which saw him cover the likes of Pulp and former rivals Oasis with a full orchestra \u2013 and discussed whether it made him want to tour again with the band.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cDo you know what? That last tour was the first time where there was no fucking downside,\u201d he shared. \u201cWith the warm-ups and playing the new album at Hammersmith, there were less than 20 shows. Even when we split up, it was only for eight years. It reminded me of how much I love being on tour. It reminded me that playing the bass is the one thing I\u2019ve ever done proficiently well in my entire life. With everything else, I\u2019m blagging it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Before then, Graham Coxon spoke to <em>NME<\/em> about Blur\u2018s <em>Live At Wembley Stadium<\/em> concert film, and said that the band don\u2019t want to \u201cleave it too long because we\u2019re knocking on\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreatively, we\u2019ll always be able to do something, but it\u2019s important that we live life for a bit and hopefully not go through something so traumatic before getting back together again,\u201d he said in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamon [Albarn, frontman] always said too that we need to live life so we have something we can bring together if we\u2019re ever going to do anything again. If that all happens, then there shouldn\u2019t be any reason why not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rowntree shared a similar stance when speaking to <em>NME<\/em> in 2025, sharing: \u201cThere\u2019s going to come a time when we\u2019re too old to do it, but we\u2019ll have probably decided to throw the towel in before then anyway. Nobody wants to go on past our sell-by-date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Alex James also doubled down on his willingness to reunite, but quipped that they \u201cneed to let Oasis get their stuff out of the way\u201d first.<\/p>\n<p>In the time since their last shows, members of Blur have been busy with their own respective projects.
