Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d might not be done yet just as doubts about his Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a start continue to grow.<\/p>\n

The four-time Vuelta winner is in talks with Lotto-Intermarch\u00e9 over a possible move for 2027, according to a report Tuesday by Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old Slovenian is out of contract with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe at the end of 2026, and retirement was looking likely.<\/p>\n

Het Laatste Nieuws<\/em>, citing sources from both camps, reported that discussions between Rogli\u010d and Lotto-Intermarch\u00e9 are underway, though no agreement has been finalized.<\/p>\n

Rumors started flying this summer that Rogli\u010d was not going to stay with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe after he got squeezed out by the arrival of Remco Evenepoel and the rise of Florian Lipowitz.<\/p>\n

Pinarello Q36.5, UAE Emirates-XRG, and Movistar were linked to Rogli\u010d, but Het Laatste Nieuws<\/em> reported that those teams are no longer interested.<\/p>\n

Rogli\u010d also faces uncertainty over whether he will even start the Vuelta later this month.<\/p>\n

Rogli\u010d was struck by a motorist while training in late July and missed both the Cl\u00e1sica San Sebasti\u00e1n and Vuelta a Burgos.<\/p>\n

Those were two key warmup races for Rogla, who hasn\u2019t raced since the Slovenian national championships in late June.<\/p>\n

He is currently training at altitude in Tignes, but Het Laatste Nieuws<\/em> reported that Rogli\u010d is still only taking on light training loads. Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe is monitoring his progress and is expected to make a final Vuelta selection after this weekend.<\/p>\n

With compatriot Tadej Poga\u010dar starting the Vuelta this year, it\u2019s unlikely that even a peak form Rogli\u010d would stand a chance of victory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
