Its toll to\u00a0clearly say: my treatment\u2019s done, this course is run, and I am on my way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David is the daughter of comedian Jasper Carrott and played Dawn,\u00a0whose\u00a0on-off td-fix-index\">\n<p><i>The Office<\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i>star Lucy Davis has revealed she has been diagnosed with \u201cincurable\u201d breast cancer, but is determined to live in \u201cas fun a way as I possibly can\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The 53-year-old actor, who famously played Dawn Tinsley in the classic UK sitcom, shared the news in a post on Instagram today (August 11), explaining that she had received her diagnosis\u00a018 months\u00a0ago but had kept it private until now.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cA year and a half ago I\u00a0was\u00a0diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has\u00a0metastasized to\u00a0my bones,\u201d she wrote. \u201cSpecifically\u00a0to my spine, right hip and my ribs.\u00a0The cancer\u00a0is incurable, and too late for chemo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said the first sign had not been a conventional lump, but \u201crather a kind of hard spot\u201d that was \u201creally tiny\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI almost didn\u2019t bother getting it checked,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo I guess I\u2019m saying don\u2019t ignore anything \u2013 get everything checked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned asked my friends and family to make fun of me as much as possible (which they\u2019re really good at), and most importantly of all to not treat me like a sick person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said she was \u201cnot scared of whatever comes next\u201d and was \u201cat peace with it\u201d, although she conceded that it was \u201cfar harder\u201d for her family than it is for her.<\/p>\n<p>In the accompanying video, she read out a poem common among cancer patients: \u201cRing this bell three times well.
