This is called, quite simply, the \u2018V12 Roadster\u2019, largely because a) it has a V12, and b) it\u2019s very much a roadster. It\u2019s been built by a company called Eccentrica<\/a>, which specialises in restoring and updating Lamborghini\u2019s Nineties leviathan into something worth over a million quid.<\/p>\n

We do not yet know how much this\u2019ll go for, but \u2018a lot\u2019 is probably a good guess. And you get a lot of car thrown in for that amount \u2013 a lot of good<\/em> car, if the Eccentrica V12 coupe is any sort of benchmark. Indeed, \u201cit\u2019s better in every direction\u201d, we said of the hard top<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Eccentrica\u2019s keeping some of its powder dry ahead of a full reveal in California later this week, so for now has confirmed only that the V12 Roadster wears a steel and carbon fibre body, features redesigned suspension geometry, and bespoke semi-active dampers. Just like the coupe, then.<\/p>\n

Inside the V12 Roadster is treated to plentiful leather, Alcantara, a bit more carbon fibre (though exposed) and even a few anodized finishes, though of course for \u00a31m+ you can pretty much do what you like with it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Further inside the V12 Roadster is also treated to\u2026 a big V12. It\u2019s the same spec as the coupe, which means you\u2019re treated to a 5.7-litre re-engineered twelve-cylinder capable of 550bhp, 443lb ft and a 0-62mph time somewhere under four seconds. That\u2019s still channelled through a six-speed manual to the rear wheels. All in, only 19 of these Roadsters are being built.<\/p>\n
