There are a lot of choices when it comes to mountain bike chain lube, and over time most riders will develop a preference. Broadly speaking, there are three basic lube choices: wet, dry, or wax. Most of us choose which type of lube to use based on our usual riding conditions, but even dry trails get wet sometimes, and rainy locations see dry spells.
