WTA Tour in the summer months and it has continued at the Canadian Open.<\/p>\n<p>The Filipina star\u2019s recent victory against Caty McNally in the round of 32 the Canadian Open was her 10th win in her last 11 matches, dating back to her run to the fourth round at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n<p>Eala claimed the first WTA title of her career at the Washington Open, defeating Jessica Pegula, Naomi Osaka, and Elina Svitolina en route to the championship.<\/p>\n<p>She has looked like cracking into the WTA elite with her recent performances, although legendary tennis coach Rick Macci believes she needs to This is the main culprit. Another smaller ticket item is since she uses a pinpoint stance when the backfoot comes up it is too much to the outside of the right foot causing an early over rotation of the other side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a lefty she has an advantage and if this is reconstructed I can see a 115 mph lefty laser and more that will provide a breathtaking Philippine sunset and she will win more sets!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another post on <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RickMacci\/status\/2086351190585901566?s=20\" target=\"_blank\">social media<\/a>, Macci also heaped praise on other aspects of Eala\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best thing about the Philippine Machine and her game is she can improve a lot. Her movement if you can exploit it will never be the main calling card but she can mask it with her lethal strikes off both wings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe serve is still not even in the neighborhood with being close to biomechanically somewhat correct. She was taught to be smooth relaxed loose and free which is great but the racquet enters the back 100% too soon before the legs drive innates anything.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe serve is a counter intutitive action with the legs and arm and Alex even though it looks somewhat cosmetically ok the entire concept is backwards. If this is 100% an extreme makeover we could see someday a number one takeover.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eala next plays <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Belinda-Bencic\">Belinda Bencic<\/a> at the Canadian Open, for a place in the quarter finals of the tournament.
