\n\tTim McGraw first achieved the feat in 2002, when his \u201cThe Cowboy in Me\u201d succeeded Jo Dee Messina\u2019s \u201cBring on the Rain,\u201d officially billed as featuring McGraw, who supplied background vocals. Wallen repeated it in 2024 when \u201cCowgirls,\u201d featuring ERNEST, replaced Post Malone\u2019s four-week No. 1 \u201cI Had Some Help,\u201d featuring Wallen.<\/p>\n
\n\tWith \u201cDon\u2019t We\u201d and \u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore\u201d both crediting Wallen as a lead artist (co-lead on \u201cCan\u2019t\u201d), he\u2019s the first act to be No. 1 in consecutive weeks with different songs as a lead act.
\u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore\u201d reached the summit quickly by modern standards. In the 1990s, 90% of Country Airplay No. 1s completed their climbs within 15 weeks; in the 2020s, only 10% have done so. The chart\u2019s historical average is 21 weeks, making the new leader six weeks faster than the overall norm.<\/p>\n
\n\tLangley\u2019s climbs have accelerated with nearly every release. Her first two No. 1s, \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Mind If I Do,\u201d both with Riley Green, took 20 and 22 weeks, respectively. \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d needed 16, while \u201cBe Her\u201d and \u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore\u201d each arrived in 15.<\/p>\n
\n\tWallen\u2019s earliest chart-toppers moved more slowly. \u201cUp Down\u201d with Florida Georgia Line took 32 weeks, \u201cWhiskey Glasses\u201d 40 and \u201cChasin\u2019 You\u201d 42. \u201cMore Than My Hometown\u201d reached No. 1 in 26 weeks and \u201cSand in My Boots\u201d in 34.<\/p>\n
\n\tThree of Langley\u2019s five leaders have now reached the top in 16 weeks or fewer, underscoring how quickly country radio has responded to her even as the typical climb has lengthened substantially from three decades ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
