\n\tThe rising electronic music ace played some of those bangers \u2014 including cuts with his own vocals \u2014 when he was presented to industry and media guests Thursday night (Aug. 6), for the music giant\u2019s Listen Up showcase event in central Sydney.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cOur latest signing, we\u2019re going to take him to the world,\u201d Dan Rosen, president, Australasia at Warner Music Group, told the packed house at The Press, as Yes Boone stepped up to the decks for a set of original works.<\/p>\n
\n\tPreviously known as Boone, the Sydney artist is a regular on the festivals circuit, playing slots at Wildlands and Ability Fest, and sold-out back-to-back sets at Liberty Hall in his hometown and Freo Social with Scott Tweedie.<\/p>\n\n\n
<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n\n\tYes Boone closed out a night at Listen Up that included performances from Warner Music\u2019s international signings Emei (U.S.), Erin LeCount (U.K.) and ARIA Award-winning homegrown soul artist BOY SODA.<\/p>\n
\n\tDance music is sizzling in Australia, and it\u2019s a hotbed of world-class talent, with Dom Dolla, Confidence Man, R\u00dcF\u00dcS DU SOL, VASSY, Ninajirachi, Alison Wonderland and FISHER among the artists leading the way. EDM festivals are the most popular in these parts.
