Favazza adds that TikTok\u2019s automated content moderation team flagged the video \u201cwithin minutes\u201d and routed it to US moderation teams. TikTok also took down the subsequent livestreams started by Hilton within 90 seconds. Screenshots and clips from the livestream are still floating around on some platforms like X.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"duet--article--article-body-component\">\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The livestream aired on Tuesday night, with the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office responding to Hilton\u2019s home after saying they received \u201cmultiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/08\/05\/entertainment\/perez-hilton-livestream-self-harm-hnk\">according to CNN<\/a>. The authorities transported Hilton to a local hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"duet--article--article-body-component\">\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The slow response to Hilton\u2019s livestream has raised concerns about moderation on TikTok, which <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/media\/tiktok-moderation-has-pushed-some-news-creators-to-the-limit\/\">some creators have found to be unevenly applied<\/a>.
