In the book, he referred to Dolmayan as \u201cis or was\u201d a Trump supporter.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>When questioned by\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone Italy\u00a0<\/em>about Dolmayan\u2019s current beliefs, Tankian replied:\u00a0\u201cFirst of all, I don\u2019t want to speak for John about his political views; that wouldn\u2019t be fair. I can say that the verb \u201cwas\u201d is correct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Tankian cautioned that \u201cI can\u2019t say for sure that it still is\u201d, explaining: \u201cI think he, too, got tired of Trump, like many others. He has said that he is in \u201cno danger whatsoever\u201d of being fired from the band, with Tankian later expressing that he \u201crespects\u201d Dolmayan, but not his political views,<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Dolmayan has said that Tankian doesn\u2019t speak for the whole band. \u201cI wanted to present a different view and to give kids out there who think differently and who are critical thinkers, not necessarily following the norm, that there is a different option, you can think differently and that it\u2019s okay to have diversity of opinion as long as it\u2019s done peaceably\u201d, he said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Tankian, however, has been vocally critical of Trump on numerous occasions, telling <em>NME\u00a0<\/em>in 2021 of Biden\u2019s presidency: \u201cI think administration, it\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since voicing his support from Trump, Dolmayan has claimed that people wouldn\u2019t work with him over his views, along with reportedly losing \u201chundreds and thousands of fans\u201d who \u201ccouldn\u2019t handle\u201d his opinion.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, John Dolmayan has said that President Trump \u201cbrings a little sanity back\u201d to
