I mean, there’ve been bigger ones. I covered the Lakers. They traded for Luka Dacic and no one knew. The Luca trade just shocked me and like a lot of other people just thought somebody was getting hacked. I know where I was when Luca got traded. Still, I don’t even remember where I was for the Jalen Brown trade and that just happened. Number 2 after Luca, it’s a lot closer to the Darren Williams trade. Than the Luca Donic trade, not the same level of player like the Luca deal. With all due respect to Jalen, shocking, but only 2 Peppers, whereas the Luca trade was a 5 Peppers trade. That was the most shocking thing I’ve ever seen and I think probably we’ll ever see. It didn’t surprise me because he got traded as much as didn’t y’all just blow a 3-1 lead to this team.”,”ineligibleRegion”:[“BI”,”BY”,”CD”,”CF”,”CU”,”IQ”,”IR”,”KP”,”LB”,”LY”,”ML”,”NI”,”RU”,”SD”,”SO”,”SS”,”SY”,”UA”,”VE”,”YE”,”ZW”],”publisher”:{“@type”:”NewsMediaOrganization”,”@id”:”https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/#publisher”,”name”:”The Athletic”,”url”:”https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/”,”foundingDate”:”2016-01-25″,”logo”:{“@type”:”ImageObject”,”@id”:”https://theathletic.com/app/themes/athletic/assets/img/the-athletic-wordmark-black.png”,”url”:”https://theathletic.com/app/themes/athletic/assets/img/the-athletic-wordmark-black.png”,”contentUrl”:”https://theathletic.com/app/themes/athletic/assets/img/the-athletic-wordmark-black.png”,”creditText”:”The Athletic”,”height”:”60″,”width”:”435″},”publishingPrinciples”:”https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/edit-guidelines/”,”sameAs”:”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Athletic”},”author”:[{“@type”:”Person”,”name”:”The Athletic NBA Staff and Jeshua Kidd”}]}

During the livestream, Brown alluded to the trade and said he feels more motivated to win than at any point in his career. “I’m more inspired to win than anything,” he said. “‘Cause I felt like I’ve been a little bit disrespected in this process, for whatever reason, from people that I thought valued me and everything that I brought to the team and the city.

    {“endpoint”:”https://api-prd-nyt.theathletic.com/graphql”}

“I found out quickly that may or may not be the case, so I want to win more than anything.”

Brown also unboxed and tried on his No. 7 Sixers jersey on the stream.

“By the way, look what just came in the mail,” Brown said. “Shout out to the equipment manager that got me right.
