One bike was catapulted upwards and into spectators were standing before falling back onto the road.<\/p>\n<p>Lidl-Trek were putting in a very strong leadout for Max Walscheid but he had to accept second place after Rasmus S\u00f8jbert Pedersen took the win. He normally competes with Decathlon CMA GGM but was guesting with the Danish national team for the race.<\/p>\n<p>Team Flanders \u2013 Baloise rider Tom Crabbe was third, with US rider Riley Sheehan (NSN Cycling Team) fifth and overnight leader Van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) 11th. He had been on Perdersen\u2019s wheel inside the final 200 meters but Sheehan drifted right towards the barriers and Van Aert had to back off.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI was disappointed that I was blocked in,\u201d he said, according to HLN. \u201cI wanted to race for a result, but I\u2019m especially happy that I arrived in one piece.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis final victory means something. I can\u2019t compete very often for the general classification, so I\u2019m happy to experience that again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Van Aert can be very encouraged by what was a phenomenal week.
