The identification number shall be well fixed and may not be folded or altered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A similar rule applies to the dossards that riders pin to their jersey pockets.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It\u2019s unknown what exactly provoked the UCI to curtly remind riders to stop fiddling with their damn numbers Saturday \u2013 no specific cases were cited.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s likely that athletes were spotted with frame plates that were trimmed down to fit better beneath their saddles or be more aerodynamic.<\/p>\n<h2>Bad driving and kerb riding<\/h2>\n<p>Elsewhere, four team staffers and one press driver were each fined 500 CHF for breaching driving regulations in the convoy.
