Bunch sprinters will likely have a far harder task getting the better of her after a flat finale of stage two into Geneva Sunday.

No prizes for guessing who is the overwhelming favourite for what looks set to be one of the only bunch sprints in the hill-packed 2026 race.

The Wiebes win rate is remarkable. She has lost one bunch sprint this year out of 16 in the 2026 season, and that was when she was boxed in at April’s Ronde De Brugge in bad weather and only finished ninth.

However, all is not lost for the peloton’s whizz kids.

It’s time for the women’s bunch to get creative.
