But I can tell you this: the undignified \u2018producer\u2019 David Holmes is exploiting her memory right now on socials and she wants you to know what\u2019s up,\u201d Bertei added.<\/p>\n<p>She also shared that while it is \u201ctrue that Holmes recorded early tracks for her last LP\u201d, he didn\u2019t mention that O\u2019Connor allegedly \u201cdumped him because she didn\u2019t like his production\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas she initially inspired working with him? Probably. She was impulsive as we all know, and loved being in the studio, and they did write together. But these texts he\u2019s posting on socials? Shame on him. He\u2019s exploiting her,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo not be fooled, or think for a minute that Holmes is responsible for this secret LP that he presents as being egregiously withheld from the public,\u201d Bertei also wrote, also sharing that while the album is \u201cbeyond magnificent\u201d she has issue with \u201cDavid Holmes taking all the credit\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING NEWS: author Adele Bertei  claims, on her IG, that David Holmes, the alleged producer of Sin\u00e9ad&#8217;s last album, is acting in bad faith publicly. Since her death, she has continued to be celebrated as one of Ireland\u2019s most influential artists \u2013 both for her voice and for her willingness to speak out on political, religious and social issues.<\/p>\n<p>The singer\u2019s cause of death was revealed to be asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She was laid to rest at a ceremony in the Irish town of Bray, with Bob Geldof and Bono among those paying tribute at her funeral.<\/p>\n<p>Many figures from the music industry paid tribute to her online, including Garbage, Billy Corgan, Michael Stipe, Fall Out Boy, Ice-T and Tori Amos, and streams of her music went up by 7.9million in the US during the week after her death.<\/p>\n<p>Her last album was 2014\u2019s \u2018I\u2019m Not Bossy, I\u2019m the Boss\u2019, and her last single was 2023\u2019s \u2018The Skye Boat Song\u2019 which she recorded for the drama series <em>Outlander<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In the years since her passing, there has been a stage production based on her life and music in Manchester, and ongoing rumours of a biopic \u2013 which date back to Bertei has hit out at the post that producer David Holmes made about Sinead O\u2019Connor\u2019s final album, accusing him of \u201cexploiting\u201d the late singer\u2019s shared on Instagram over the weekend, in which he marked the third anniversary of O\u2019Connor\u2019s death and revealed that they had been working on an album together called \u2018No Veteran Dies Alone\u2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Holmes worked with the singer in the final few years of her career, and uploaded photos showing \u201ca couple of texts\u201d he received from her \u201cwhile producing what would be her final album.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The texts saw O\u2019Connor say that the record was \u201cso good\u201d and add that she wanted to \u201cmake records together until one of us croaks\u201d. But I can tell you this: the undignified \u2018producer\u2019 David Holmes is exploiting her memory right now on socials and she wants you to know what\u2019s up,\u201d Bertei added.<\/p>\n<p>She also shared that while it is \u201ctrue that Holmes recorded early tracks for her last LP\u201d, he didn\u2019t mention that O\u2019Connor allegedly \u201cdumped him because she didn\u2019t like his production\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas she initially inspired working with him? Probably. She was impulsive as we all know, and loved being in the studio, and they did write together. But these texts he\u2019s posting on socials? Shame on him. Since her death, she has continued to be celebrated as one of Ireland\u2019s most influential artists \u2013 both for her voice and for her willingness to speak out on political, religious and social issues.<\/p>\n<p>The singer\u2019s cause of death was revealed to be asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
