Based around an idea of Lotus\u2019s stillborn 1960s Le Mans project, Scarbo was brought in later to help with suspension development for the Pikes Peak project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 hQwWlJ\">\n<p>Scarbo has built a few of these \u2013 steel tube chassis single seaters, typically fitted with a GM V8 in the back for maximum torque and noise in a car that weighs less than 600kg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 hQwWlJ\">\n<p>A project that started with Scarbo wanting to build his ultimate race-retro Porsche 911, and ended with Ken Block racing it up Pikes Peak in 2022 \u2013 unfortunately ended with engine failure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 hQwWlJ\">\n<p>The front half is a 1960s 911, the rear is a custom made spaceframe built to contain a powerful V8. The rest is a Le Mans-inspired caricature.
