Unfortunately, it looks like we&#8217;ll be waiting longer still for it to re-appear.<\/p>\n<p>NateTheHate, an insider with a decent track record when it comes to industry leaks, was asked on X whether they know when Hexe will be unveiled. NateTheHate explained that the in-development game&#8217;s projected release is months away, so it wouldn&#8217;t make sense for a reveal to happen just yet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Game won&#8217;t launch until second half of 2027, at [the] earliest. They don&#8217;t need to rush a reveal\/announcement,&#8221; NateTheHate said in a reply <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateTheHate2\/status\/2081946228326092941\">on X<\/a>, referring to publisher and developer Ubisoft.<\/p>\n<p>The last we&#8217;ve heard of Hexe was in April, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/assassins-creed-hexe-game-director-departs\">when the game&#8217;s director, Benoit Richer, announced their departure from the studio<\/a>. The news came just two months after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/ubisofts-mysterious-assassins-creed-hexe-has-a-new-creative-director-claims-report-as-ubisoft-say-goodbye-to-the-legendary-clint-hocking\">creative director Clint Hocking was confirmed to have left the project<\/a> and Ubisoft.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before that, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/assassins-creed-franchise-lead-leaves-ubisoft-following-formation-of-tencent-subsidiary\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed franchise lead Marc-Alexis C\u00f4t\u00e9 also left Ubisoft<\/a>, in a shakeup that resulted in the creation of the Vantage Studios subsidiary, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/ubisoft-and-tencent-announce-new-subsidiary-vantage-studios-to-lead-development-for-the-assassins-creed-far-cry-rainbow-six-franchises\">Ubisoft and Tencent established to oversee development of the former&#8217;s biggest franchises<\/a>, including Assassin&#8217;s Creed.<\/p>\n<p>As for Hexe itself, the project has been mysterious practically from the moment it was announced. The game is said to involve witchcraft in Europe&#8217;s Middle Ages, with Cot\u00e9 calling it at the time &#8220;a very different type of Assassin&#8217;s Creed game&#8221;. Little else is known beyond that.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent release in the series is, of course, Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the 2013 game.
