CREDIT: Apple Corps<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row_inner tdi_83 article-content-row vc_row vc_inner wpb_row td-pb-row\">\n<div class=\"vc_column_inner tdi_85  wpb_column vc_column_container tdc-inner-column td-pb-span12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content tdi_86 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_2 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_86\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>A new, expanded reissue of The Beatles\u2019 \u2018Rubber Soul\u2019 is on the way, which will feature a previously unreleased demo from John Lennon.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>READ MORE: Paul McCartney: \u201cWriting a song is still a magic feeling for me, and hopefully always will be\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new versions of the classic 1965 album are set to arrive on October 2 via UMG and Apple Corps Ltd, and come mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>For the first time in over six decades, the landmark record will be presented in new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes, and come in a box-set alongside the original mono mix and the original Capitol US Album version.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the original tracklist \u2013 which features fan-favourites including \u2018Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)\u2019, \u2018Nowhere Man\u2019, \u2018Michelle\u2019, and \u2018In My Life\u2019 \u2013 there will also be the contemporary double A-side single, \u2018Day Tripper \/ We Can Work It Out\u2019, and a selection of previously unreleased session recordings and home demos.<\/p>\n<p>Variations of the reissue include the Special Edition Standard with 14 songs, the Special Edition Deluxe which has 30 tracks, and the Blu-ray Edition which includes 16 tracks and four videos.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Beatles - \u2018Michelle\u201d (Take 1) (Visualiser)\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zq0HMLhaQOw?feature=oembed&amp;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>The most expansive variation, however, is the Special Edition Super Deluxe, which comes as either a 5-LP box-set or a 4-CD box-set and includes 68 tracks. These include the new stereo mix of \u2018Rubber Soul\u2019, two discs of Sessions and Demos, the original mono master of the album, the original Capitol US version, and the 7\u201d A-side single.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\">\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the demos section, there is a song called \u2018Little Girl\u2019, which was written and recorded by Lennon and has remained unreleased since it was first developed.<\/p>\n<p>The Super Deluxe editions also come with an 88-page hardbound book featuring a brand new written introduction by Paul McCartney, and a foreword compiled from Lennon\u2019s own words.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Rubber Soul\u2019 was recorded over four weeks during October and November 1965, shortly after the Fab Four performed a record-breaking gig to more than 55,000 fans at New York\u2019s Shea Stadium.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3959697\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3959697\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3959697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rubber-soul-beatles@2000x2000.jpg\" alt=\"The Beatles &apos;Rubber Soul&apos; artwork\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1984\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3959697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Beatles \u2018Rubber Soul\u2019 artwork.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>All of the new formats of the reissue feature the album\u2019s new stereo mix, sourced directly from the original four-track master tapes. each film will tell the story of the band from a different member\u2019s point of view.<\/p>\n<p>As well as that, it has been confirmed that 3 Savile Row \u2013 an iconic London landmark long associated with the band \u2013 will open its doors to the public for the first time next year for the first ever official Beatles fan experience.<\/p>\n<p>Paul McCartney dropped his new album \u2018The Boys of Dungeon Lane\u2018 earlier this year, which is his first solo record since 2020\u2019s \u2018McCartney III\u2019, and features his first duet with former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the album\u2019s release, McCartney sat down with <em>NME<\/em> to look forwards and back on his extraordinary career, share his \u201cexcitement\u201d at contributing to the still a magic feeling for me, and hopefully always will be\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new versions of the classic 1965 album are set to arrive on October 2 via UMG and Apple Corps Ltd, and come mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>For the first time in over six decades, the landmark record will be presented in new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes, and come in a box-set alongside the original mono mix and the original Capitol US Album version.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the original tracklist \u2013 which features fan-favourites including \u2018Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)\u2019, \u2018Nowhere Man\u2019, \u2018Michelle\u2019, and \u2018In My Life\u2019 \u2013 there will also be the contemporary double A-side single, \u2018Day Tripper \/ We Can Work It Out\u2019, and a selection of previously unreleased session recordings and home demos.<\/p>\n<p>Variations of the reissue include the Special Edition Standard with 14 songs, the Special Edition Deluxe which has 30 tracks, and the Blu-ray Edition which includes 16 tracks and box-set or a 4-CD box-set and includes 68 tracks. These include the new stereo mix of \u2018Rubber Soul\u2019, two discs of Sessions and Demos, the original mono master of the album, the original Capitol US version, and the 7\u201d A-side single.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\">\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the demos section, there is a song called \u2018Little Girl\u2019, which was written and recorded by Lennon and has remained unreleased since it was first developed.<\/p>\n<p>The Super Deluxe editions also come with an 88-page hardbound book featuring a brand new written introduction by Paul McCartney, and a foreword compiled from Lennon\u2019s own words.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Rubber Soul\u2019 was recorded over four weeks during October and November 1965, shortly after the Fab Four performed a record-breaking gig to more than 55,000 fans at New York\u2019s Shea Stadium.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3959697\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3959697\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3959697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rubber-soul-beatles@2000x2000.jpg\" alt=\"The Beatles &apos;Rubber Soul&apos; artwork\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1984\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3959697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Beatles \u2018Rubber Soul\u2019 artwork.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>All of the new formats of the reissue feature the album\u2019s new stereo mix, sourced directly from the original four-track master tapes.
