It mentioned Pragmata&#8217;s impressive figures (racking up 2.5m sales since its release earlier this year), and the equally impressive performance of Resident Evil Requiem, already at 8m.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we now have a better look at how these sales are driving internal decision-making at Capcom. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-07-29\/capcom-shares-surge-after-record-catalog-sales-1q-profit-beat\">Per a new post over on Bloomberg<\/a>, we can see the effect Capcom&#8217;s Q1 2026 success has had on its stock. This morning, the Japanese company&#8217;s stock rose roughly 19 percent after the company reported its operating profit of \u00a541.1bn ($251m) for the quarter ended June. Part of the game&#8217;s success is pinned on pre-release marketing and &#8216;the appeal of [Pragmata&#8217;s] main character, Diana&#8217;, which Capcom believes helped push sales of the game in local and international markets. This isn&#8217;t the first we&#8217;ve heard about a potential Pragmata sequel, either: back in May, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/pragmata-sequel-of-course-director-would-love-one\">director Yonghee Cho noted he&#8217;d &#8220;of course&#8221; love to work on a sequel<\/a>.
