Here\u2019s a touch of good news: your Xbox copies of certain Ubisoft games now work on PC. So if you own any of the following titles on Xbox, the publisher\u2019s Ubisoft Connect platform lets you download them on PC free of charge:<\/p>\n

Assassin\u2019s Creed Mirage<\/em>
Assassin\u2019s Creed Valhalla<\/em>
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora<\/em>
Far Cry 6<\/em>
Immortals Fenyx Rising<\/em>
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown<\/em>
Riders Republic<\/em>
Skull and Bones<\/em>
The Crew 2<\/em>
The Crew Motorfest<\/em>
Tom Clancy\u2019s Rainbow Six Extraction<\/em>
Tom Clancy\u2019s Rainbow Six Siege<\/em>
Watch Dogs Legion<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That\u2019s a substantial list, and while recent blockbuster release Assassin\u2019s Creed Black Flag Resynced<\/em> is conspicuously absent, it\u2019s still a generous roster.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s part of a new partnership between Ubisoft and Microsoft, which was announced via the Xbox Wire. There\u2019s a \u2018progressive rollout\u2019 period which means your PC copies will be added to your Ubisoft Connect account at some point between now and 4 August.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, it doesn\u2019t work the opposite way. So if you have PC copies of these games, you can\u2019t now also play them on PC.<\/p>\n

How about DLC, in-game currencies and purchased cosmetics? Do they carry over from Xbox to PC? Yes, to an extent. Owned DLC will carry over no problem, but currency and cosmetics may not. It differs from game to game, so to check if your title\u2019s carrying those bits across properly it\u2019s worth checking the \u2018game properties\u2019 tab of that title in Ubisoft Connect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s especially good news for The Crew Motorfest<\/em><\/a> players who\u2019ve been grinding away on the console version, but also own a gaming PC and can thus unleash a higher frame rate and turn the graphics options right up.<\/p>\n
