The son of the late John McClure Snr., who used to always come to Tramlines, we used to stand down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed to the side of the stage where his mother and brother were stood, and stormed through the likes of \u2018Heavyweight Champion of The World\u2019, \u2018Haircut\u2019 and \u2018Heatwave in the Cold North\u2019, before he wrapped up the set with a Hawley-assisted \u2018Silence Is Talking\u2019 \u2013 which you can check out below.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to Instagram after the festival slot, McClure wrote: \u201cWhat a special moment. When I was 24, I thought I knew everything and I\u2019d gob off to\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0about everything. I knew fuck all. Looking back, to when I was kicking off at people, I was probably quite poorly for most of my career. I wasn\u2019t well mentally. If you add drugs into that, plus my best mate [Alex Turner] being in the biggest band in the world and feeling jealous of him, it was a bad mix.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cNow I understand myself, ADHD is like a special power I\u2019ve not known how to harness before. I\u2019m 42 and it\u2019s like I was infantilised until now. In my case, before being diagnosed, ADHD left me taking a lot longer to grow up and be responsible. them\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hawley made a surprise appearance during the Sheffield band\u2019s performance on the Sarah Nulty Main Stage at Sheffield\u2019s Hillsborough Park on Sunday (July 26).<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>During the performance, frontman McClure gave an emotional tribute to his family, telling the crowd: \u201cMy name is Jon McClure. The son of the late John McClure Snr., who used to always come to Tramlines, we used to stand down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed to the side of the stage where his mother and brother were stood, and stormed through the likes of \u2018Heavyweight Champion of The World\u2019, \u2018Haircut\u2019 and \u2018Heatwave in the Cold North\u2019, before he wrapped up the set with a Hawley-assisted \u2018Silence Is Talking\u2019 \u2013 which you can check out below.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to Instagram after the festival slot, McClure wrote: \u201cWhat a special moment. All the family together l. Thankyou to everyone saying nice things in the comments and mentions. When I was 24, I thought I knew everything and I\u2019d gob off to\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0about everything. I knew fuck all. Looking back, to when I was kicking off at people, I was probably quite poorly for most of my career. I wasn\u2019t well mentally. If you add drugs into that, plus my best mate [Alex Turner] being in the biggest band in the world and feeling jealous of him, it was a bad mix.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cNow I understand myself, ADHD is like a special power I\u2019ve not known how to harness before. I\u2019m 42 and it\u2019s like I was infantilised until now. In my case, before being diagnosed, ADHD left me taking a lot longer to grow up and be responsible.
